Barriers, Opportunities and Societal Return on Investment

Lead: EuroScan; Contributors: FH Europe, UA-MoH

WP2’s main approach is to learn lessons from previous experience of the EU-recognized FH Paediatric Screening best practice and strengthen the evidence base on the return on investment and particularly on the social impact of FH Paediatric Screening. It aims to reinforce the evidence that support decisions around preventive measures and by building models that justify decisions from health care and societal perspectives in relation to FH Paediatric Screening.

Health literacy and awareness for FH Paediatric Screening - Building a personalised communication model

Lead: CUT, InoMed; Contributor: FH Europe

WP3 will use a social and behavioural approach/tool in order to build and test a Personalised Communication Model (PCM). This model will be based on evidence from Cyprus and Romania (including the Roma population) and will provide an insight into the social, cultural and behavioural barriers and facilitators (individual and group level) that affect people’s health-related choices. The model (and its methodology) will be available to use not only for additional countries but also for additional prevention programmes. WP3 will include a capacity building element that will allow the amplification of the FH Europe Patient Ambassadors program.
